A circle is the locus of all points a fixed distance from a given (centre) point. circle is a special kind of ellipse in which the eccentricity is zero. The distance from the centre of the circle to the outer line is its radius.

Which characters are inside the circle? Which characters are outside the circle?
Which characters are on the circle?

Circle Shape Pictures

A straight line segment joining the center of a circle to a point on the circle is called a radius of the circle.

A straight line segment joining two points on a circle, which passes through the center of the circle, is called a diameter of the circle.

A straight line segment joining any two points on a circle is called a chord of that circle

a straight line which touches the circle at only one point which is perpendicular to the diameter is called Tangent Line.

A small part of  the surface of a circle called is the Arc .

A small portion of  the a circle called is a Segment.

Center:

The Center is the midpoint of a circle. In the above chart, the Center of the circle point 'O'.

Radius:

This is a line fragment from the Center of a circle interfacing any point on the actual circle. The sweep of a circle is signified by one or the other letter "r" (lower case) or "R" (capitalized).

Diameter:

The measurement of a circle is a line section going through the Center of a circle and having both the circle's endpoints. Numerically, the Diameter is twice the span of a circle. The breadth of a circle is meant by "D"

Chord:

A Chord is a line fragment with both the endpoints on the circle. Line PQ is the Chord of the circle above. The width of a circle is the longest Chord.

Secant:

A secant is a drawn out Chord of a circle.

Arc:

A circular segment is a bend along the external line of the circle.

Tangent:

The Tangent of a circle is a straight line that remotely contacts a circle, the circle's external line. Line on the point A is the Tangent of the circle.

Segment:

A portion is a district limited by a bend and a Chord .

Sector:

A Sector is a locale by a bend and two radii. Locale OMA is the Sector of the circle, as represented previously.

Circumference:

The Circumference of a circle is the all out distance overall round the external line of a circle

Area of a circle:

The locale limited by the external line of a circle.

Annulus:

An annulus is a ring-molded object shaped between two concentric (circles with a typical focus) circles. For example, the concealed area in the circle underneath is known as the annulus.
